Licensed Professional Counselor

Life transitions, planned and unplanned, often bring unsettled- even long forgotten- emotions to the surface. The results can present disorienting twists and turns leading to unexpected challenges.

Even the best laid-out transitions can deliver unexpected ripple effects. However, when changes are abrupt and unexpected, the aftershock can send us into a spiral of traumatic sensations around grief, shame, doubt, or outright abandonment. It is often through unexpected transitions we are forced to examine our life's trajectory- where we have been, juxtaposed against where we are headed- and how our own beliefs and values either support or inhibit how we progress through life's various events.

As a licensed professional counselor and human who has met peace on the other side of pain, my skills are best suited to help people navigate life occurrence transitions, estrangement, grief, and religious and narcissistic abuse (scroll further for full list). Using the unbiased and accepting approach of Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFST/IFS), CBT, EMDR, and various compatible therapies, I would be honored to hold space for this journey with you.

I am licensed to serve as an LPC in Colorado- currently residing in beautiful Colorado Springs, CO.

My Approach

We each engage life through a series of lenses. Some of these lenses or notions are innate, but others are beliefs and ideals born out of key people and events in our lives which have made a lasting impression on who we've become. Each thought, idea, action, even emotion, is a contribution of how these various parts of us work to both outwardly influence and inwardly protect the collection of ideals that make us unique.

Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS/IFST) is a non-pathologizing approach honoring the qualities of each aspect of who we are in a safe and welcoming environment.

The goal of this method is to rediscover the innate core of who you are so that various aspects of your personality may return to a secure sense of structure and balance.

IFS combines well with other various methods within alternative modalities which I also find beneficial, including;

NARM (Neurosequential and Relational Model),

EMDR, (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing),

Solution Focused,

Relational,

Trauma Focused,

and aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
